GRAHAM, Professor James Wesley - Wes died peacefully in his home on Monday, August 23, 1999 in his 68th year. He was a devoted father to Barbara Graham (deceased), Marlene and Randy Kipfer, Jim and Connie Graham, Susi and Ricky McCormick, Gord Graham and Paul Graham and a proud and loving grandfather to Joseph, Valerie, Matthew, Cindy, Jackie, Angie and Cole who will miss him very much. Wes will be missed by beloved companion Rebecca Edisbury and her children Jessica, Jason and Barb. He will also be remembered by his wife Helen Graham and his sister Gail Corbett. Wes was proud of growing up in Copper Cliff, Ontario; he then moved to Toronto to attend the University of Toronto. After a few years with IBM in Toronto, Wes moved to Waterloo and had a long and distinguished career at the University of Waterloo. He was recently invested as an Officer of the Order of Canada in recognition of his great contributions to the field of computer science in Canada and throughout the world. His amazing energy and talents had a huge impact on the lives of countless people. A private family funeral and burial has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church Streets, Kitchener, 519-742-4481 on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 825 King Street West on Friday at 3 p.m. Wes was actively involved in fundraising for Grand River Hospital. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
